Q: I have heard that Coolsculpting is a particularly good option for women who are experiencing menopause. Why is that?

A: When you go through menopause you lose your estrogen. So you begin to get a testosterone effect on your fat cells. Your body will start preferentially depositing some fat around your abdomen and around your love handle area which is traditionally what we associate with men. Coolsculpting is specifically targeted for those two areas. So in fact Coolsculpting could represent a very wonderful non-surgical modality to target the two areas where women post-menopausal start to collect fat.
