Breast Reduction Procedures in our NYC Facilities

Breast reduction surgery diminishes the volume of a patient’s breasts and elevates them to a higher position on the chest. These procedures are very similar to a breast lift, except that the surgery involves removal of additional tissue for a breast reduction. NY Drs. Maman , Vickery and Keegan suggest that in order for a patient to be a good candidate for a breast reduction, they should experience the following:
  • back pain or bad posture as a result of large breasts
  • one breast that is larger and out of proportion with the other
  • breasts that are out of balance with the rest of the body
Breast reductions are performed under general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art operating facilities where the procedure can take an average of two hours. Many patients choose to stay overnight in our facility where they enjoy one-on-one care from our specially trained nursing staff after a breast reduction. New York City surgeons Vickery, Maman and Keegan are also happy to assist with lodging and other logistics for patients and families who may be visiting from outside of Manhattan.
