After earning his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Keegan completed eight years of post-doctoral work in general surgery, plastic surgery, and microsurgery before entering private practice.   Dr. Keegan is among a select group of doctors who are board-certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery, in addition to earning a specialization in microsurgery.

Fifteen years after completing his post-doctoral work, Dr. Keegan remains at the forefront of new developments in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.   He is part of New York’s longest-tenured microsurgical team, and his experience and flexibility allow him to create outstanding customizations for his plastic surgery patients. Dr. Keegan has made substantial contributions to dozens of medical research studies during his career, and he maintains an academic appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
